Hello!
Well, hasn’t it been a while?! I posted my Christmas in October blog post just over a week ago, that you can read here (you know you want to), but other than that I’ve been a bit MIA, so what better reason to catch up than in my October Catch Up post? Admittedly a rather late monthly catch up but we’re just about still in October. Anyway, I’ll save the rambling, grab yourself a cuppa and let’s catch up.

October, and the upcoming months to May, has been very heavily focused on university. If you don’t know I’m in my final year studying psychology and let’s just say it is a bit like being hit with a tonne of bricks, them swinging back to hit you again and then stumbling out in front of a lorry. Or something like that. It’s a bit scary because you know that this year isn’t a year where you can say “ah, I’ll make up for it next year” if things don’t go the way you want them to so it’s all or nothing but then a bit more because I constantly doubt myself that I’ve done enough. Maybe I feel it more because I’m terrible at putting myself under mountains of pressure or maybe it’s just common. Let me know! But I’m currently trying to find a happy medium where I can still post on here and keep up to date with everything else, all whilst plodding along at uni.
If I don’t manage to find this happy medium then time spent updating Life of Lia will be as and when, I still love it and it’s still my little space of the internet but right now I need to prioritise getting this bloody degree! I will still be active on other social media including Instagram and Twitter, where I ramble and give you updates on everything so follow me over there and let’s be friends.
Major life update: I joined a gym. A real gym. With real equipment and real people and all that exciting stuff. I’m very much still bumbling along and getting the hang of it but I’m enjoying it and trust me, there’s no one more surprised than I am. I have found so far that it is a good escape from uni and work and allows me to use time for my own development and just for some time for me. Ask anyone, I’m terrible at that as well…

Also, on the gym front, gym intimidation is so real! So, I ask, how do you get over gym intimidation? Any suggestions are gratefully received.
I went to my first pick your own pumpkin this October and it was very exciting. I do not have any time to carve the pumpkin, a typical Lia thing (October has been very hectic), but I’m looking forward to having pumpkin soup.

I’m going to leave it at a short catch up post today. I hope you’re all well!
All my love,
Lia x
