Hello there,
I hope you are all doing well and enjoy your Sunday and first day of September. It is crazy how quick this year has gone and now we are in the final quarter and then boom, before you know it 2020 will be here. I’m a big fan of every start of the months but September has something about it that just seems special. It could be because it’s the final push before the new year or because I always had a fondness of going back to school early September (mad, I know) and being given that new planner and keeping it pristine – until one of your friends got hold of it and vandalised it.
September is also a month that reminds me that time is limited, it’s four years ago this September that I lost my Nan and I miss her every single day and there’s so much that I wish I could tell her but I know that I can’t and I just have to hope that she’s somewhere watching over me. It does seem like a lifetime ago since that awful day happened but it also seems like no time at all, I was lucky to have a wonderful 16 years full of memories with my Nan but that doesn’t seem like enough and I don’t think any amount would ever have been enough. But all this talk of time reminds me that it’s a weird little thing and you shouldn’t take life, or anything, or anyone for granted because you really have no idea exactly when something so important will be gone.
I’m going to try something at the beginning of this quarter that I’m encouraging all of you to do as well, I’m going to make a list of 4 goals that I would like to have achieved by the start of 2020. It is a manageable amount and really it works out at one goal per month and gives you something to aim for. Make sure you write it down somewhere so you can keep going back to it, plus I always find it really satisfying to be able to cross something off when I’ve achieved it.

I think it’s also helpful to take time at the beginning of a month to make a note of all the events you have coming up, so any birthdays, or deadlines then take time to get organised and get yourself sorted. It’s something I really like the idea of but never successfully stay on top of so by putting it out here (hello universe) then I’m going to feel bad if I don’t.

I look forward to everything that September brings, maybe not so much the whole Great North Run thing which is happening very soon aka next week, and I am SO READY for autumn and all the joys that it brings.
Happy September humans,
