Helloooo!

Am I the only one struggling to believe that it is August this week?! This year seems to be flying by and yesterday I got my timetable for this year at uni, which happens to be my final year and I can’t believe how quick it has gone. But anyway…

A few days ago I went to Meadowhall with my mum and we attended one of the Meadowhall Sessions that they’ve been doing. I saw them advertised on Facebook, had a scroll through and decided on purchasing tickets for the Lush Skincare Masterclass and instantly panicked about whether I’d be able to enjoy it as it’s very much out of my comfort zone. The day came around and we had a bite to eat before the session and was there ready at 6pm at the light work area that had been designated for the sessions.

I had nothing to be worried about as the people running the workshop were wonderful, they were lively and professional, were able to answer any question you had to ask and were so well informed on everything they spoke about. It was incredible to see people so passionate about what they were talking about! They made everyone feel at ease and were easy to have a laugh with, and accepted my childlike capabilities of making a mess everywhere.

The session consisted of making two fresh face masks, Catastrophe Cosmetic and Cupcake. My personal favourite is the Catastrophe Cosmetic as it smells so fresh and uses blueberries which makes it go an amazing colour. There were about 8 people there and everyone had a go at adding ingredients, stirring it all together and then putting it in pots. We were informed of all the benefits of the ingredients as well which I found super interesting.

Here I am loving life with the Cupcake face mask on.

At the end of it we received a little bag packed with information, I personally found the book full of essential oils really interesting and will be doing more reading into that myself. Overall, the workshop exceeded my expectations and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to a friend. I’d love to do something like that again and will be keeping my eye out for anything else popping up!

Until next time,

Lia x
