Hello,

I really like “Dinner Party Guest List” posts because I think it gives you an insight to what kind of person someone is, besides the whole words on a screen thing. A few years ago I did a post like this and I wanted to do another one and see if I have changed at all and if there’s any guests the same. A more fun post if you’d like and a bit different to the usual, here we go…

Dr. Addison Montgomery/Kate Walsh

I watched the first few seasons of Grey’s Anatomy recently, I’m yet to watch the rest but I love it, and I absolutely loved it when Addison was a regular. At first I thought “ahh, you’re the wife?!” and wasn’t a big fan but as we progressed it turned out that she was a pretty badass surgeon and I think she’d be great at a dinner party. Also, Kate Walsh aka the real human behind Addison seems pretty cool so they’re both invited as a sort of Hannah Montana/Miley Stewart kind of thing.

Emmeline Pankhurst

I have so much admiration for this woman, she was so controversial in her efforts of working for equality for the sexes. She worked tirelessly for women to get the right to vote, and I for one thank her. The year I turned 18 there was so excited to go and vote, and I thank Emmeline Pankhurst and the other Suffragettes who fought for me to have that right.

David Attenborough

He has so much to teach the world about the world and we need to take his warnings and messages seriously, before it’s too late and there’s nothing to save. Plus, his voice is very soothing and he wears some nice blue shirts.

William Shakespeare

Just a proper cool bloke. Also, I love the works of Shakespeare.

Phoebe Buffay

This was difficult to narrow down because I adore Friends and would happily have them all there but that would take up a lot of list so I’m going to stick Phoebe. I go through phases where my favourite character from Friends changes but right now it is Phoebe. I love her personality, her different clothes and her general uniqueness, I’d also definitely request her to bring her guitar through for a rendition of Smelly Cat.

Sir Barnes Wallis

I have so many questions to ask him and I admire him a lot.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

I love the message she delivered at New York City’s Women’s March as she asked the crowd “Are you all ready to make a ruckus? Are you all ready to fight for our rights? Everyone deserves justice, and everyone deserves equal protection and prosperity in our country.” She’s the youngest woman ever elected to Congress and I think that is incredible. She stands for many things and uses her voice for good.

Maya Angelou

Maya Angelou was an American poet, she wrote several volumes of autobiography which explored the themes of economic, racial and sexual oppression. During the Civil Right’s movement she was one of the most prominent female activists. I really recommend her poem Still I Rise, it’s marvellous.

I’m going to leave it there and list my previous “guest” to compare… Elvis Presley, Emily Davison, Sir Barnes Wallis, Malala Yousafzai, Guy Martin, Phoebe Buffay, Dominic Toretto, Elle Woods, Jay Gatsby and Serena van der Woodsen. I’m not going to lie that is a pretty solid list and I’d happily have them all here.

Who would you have at your dream Dinner Party Guest List?

Until next time,

Lia x
