Good evening!

You could say a long time no see but you have never seen Life of Lia so *drum roll*… WELCOME! I am going to use this post as a brief explanation about what’s been going on surrounding this blog and what to expect and general stuff so without further ado, I present to you… Life of Lia.

Where did I go?

I fell out of love with blogging. I lost motivation and inspiration. I wasn’t happy with my blog.  Then somewhere I gained inspiration again and had so many ideas to start over so it was goodbye, That Girl with that Blog and hello, Life of Lia. Writing has always been something I’ve been passionate about, my dream since I was about 5 has been to write my own book, and I didn’t want to give up on blogging because it’s my little space, so I’ve really invested time in moving from Blogger to WordPress and deciding what content to feature and filling a notebook with ideas.

What to expect

From this new update, you can expect some general lifestyle posts in the style of my old ones (don’t worry I’m not some mad changed professional human, I still have no clue what I’m doing with my life), some “better living” posts where I’m going to introduce little practices that are helping me to be a better me and ways of being more sustainable and help the planet, more travel posts and I’m planning on doing a lot more reviews, not just on films but a wide variety. I’m also open to suggestions for what kind of content to include and at some point I would love to include a bit of a creative section because I adore different forms of being creative. But for now, we will stick to what we have.

The Name Change

When I started this blog, I was about 14 and was too impatient to think of a good name and settled for That Girl with that Blog and it stuck and I enjoyed it and loved the freedom it gave me content-wise, because I wasn’t limited to a specific niche and could run with whatever idea I fancied. But I outgrew it and decided it wasn’t personal enough so Life of Lia became. Plus, Life of Lia can become LOL and my life is normally laughable as I’m pretty much a clumsy mess who has no idea what is going on at least 98% of the time. So, WELCOME!

I feel really happy and content to be back and posting and although there’s still parts of my blog that I’m working on (for example the about me page isn’t quite there yet), I’m optimistic going forward that this whole revamp was definitely the right thing to do. All my blog socials have changed as well and they are linked at the top of the page so go follow and I shall be back with another post very soon.

Also, if you have read my blog for a while thank you so much for sticking with me through the weird phases (I’ve been rereading some old posts), the random breaks, the pointless posts and anything else. I truly appreciate all of you and I’m happy to bring you along on the next chapter of this little blog.
